History of Sona Caterers Ganesh Nayak the prominent business man who both in a lower middle class family in Mangalore. joined his father late Chandrasekhar Nayak in his small condiment business at the age of 15. Since then he learned to manage this business. With the help of friends and relatives they started a small condiments outlet near New Chitra Theater under the name "Golden Food Products", in Mangalore. Very soon it became very famous for its taste. In year 1973 another outlet has been started under the name SONA Sweet House at Carstreet, Mangalore. Very soon he realized demand for Mangalore style food in Bangalore. and in 1991 he established a new business in Malleshwaram. Bangalore Under the name "Mangalore Sona sweet House" along with this he started to take small catering orders. this lead to start the Sona caterers service in 1992 with motto of 'Quality with taste. Service with Smile'. Since then he is excelling in this field. Along with his business he is serving to the society by catering for Samoohika Bramhopadsham and other Events for free of cost. As a next step in his business career he started a South Canara Konkani style food parcel service under the name "Sona's Kodial" which is managed actively by his wife M. Saroja G. Nayak. then after it turned into full fledged restaurant and serving all the authentic south canara style cuisine such as Kotte, Moode, Buns, Biscuit loth, Golibajje. Pathrode, different type of gashi's and curries, and Sweets. his food parcel service is helping to the Mangalorian and all Old age peoples, Single Pearson families residing in Bangalore to taste their home food far away from home. Sona's food tasted not only in the state but also outside the state and country too, Mr. & Mrs. Nayak honored by invitation to cater the Konkani Sammelan 2006 held in Hamilton. Canada, there he served the Konkani Food and Appreciated and honored by the all dignitaries.
