Desai Nursing Home was established in 1957 by Late Prof. Desai and Late Dr. Lakshmi Devi Desai. Over 50 years the hospital was constantly updated and a large practice was built up with many of the who’s who list of Hyderabad belonging to that list. Its guiding principle has been to provide excellent medical service to all sections of the society. It has been widely and consistently recognized as a center of excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Dr. Jayashree Desai then continued the excellent traditions that were laid before and has achieved many firsts’ in the State of Andhra Pradesh. First to perform fetal monitoring to ensure safety of the baby and mother, first to perform routine colposcopy and colposcopic Surgery for early cancer detection. In 2009 the hospital is expanding into a multispecialty Hospital.
