Man’s urge to build computers and to improve them for application came in mind during 1930’s and 1940’s.At that time the use of computers was generally limited to very few areas of business activities due to high cost of computers as also a very few people had the technical knowledge to program them. Most of the technical changes that have occurred since World War II involve computers and computer related technologies. This is the period of computer Revolution followed by information revolution i.e. the effect of rapid advancement in communications. The people in any civilized and technical society rely on computer services to support the majority of their jobs. Although very few people are specialised in computers, many individuals are now wanting and needing to know all about computers, their applications and developments with a view to keep pace with the growing needs of the day.
