‘Look Within’ was founded last year by Ms. Aditi Nadkarni and her team. As we started reaching out we realised that the awareness about the importance of Mental Health is very less amongst people. This leads to myths, misconceptions & stigmatization of mental health related issues giving rise to a lot of unidentified cases and people who succumb to silent suffering. An initiative to begin Mental Health Awareness Camps was formalized in order to educate people about the importance of our mental wellbeing at the same time to provide them a forum to discuss their concerns freely without any misconceptions. Along With the team of Mental Health Awareness Weekend (formulated in 2013 in Bandra), Look Within conducted an event in Borivali in the year 2014 and catered to more than 300 people in two days where in various mental health professionals spoke and presented videos on various mental health concerns.
