Chitrakalpa Art Institute is working successfully for the last 49 years which itself proves the strength of the foundation on which the infrastructure of the Institute is based. Late Shri Gangadhar Krishnarao Apte established the Institute in 1961 in Pune as household art classes. Then his son shri. Anand G. Apte a school teacher introduced various creative courses, helping the institute grow in all direction of art forms. He celebrated the Silver Jubilee of the Institute and 1’st Art Exhibition in 1985 to encourage the creativity and potential of the student.The tradition continues till date. Now Shri. Milind A . Apte the Third generation, is playing a significant role in development & expanding the institute. Today the institute has 7 branches all over in the city with its main branch at Sadashiv Peth. The institute has been following the tradition of awarding the grade achievers of the Elementary and Intermediate examinations.
